Complete Convention Program 2018

REGISTRATION: October 18, 2018 from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 pm

Preregistration for the convention is $125/person. Registration includes the breakfast, lunch, exposition, educational session, and reception.  Registration packets can be picked up at the registration desk. Preregistration deadline is October 15. After October 15, the registration fee is $175. Registration can be cancelled by written request to OFPA. No refunds after October 15, 2018. Substitutions are allowed. “No-shows” will not receive a refund.

NAME BADGES AND TICKETS ARE REQUIRED THROUGHOUT THE CONVENTION.

Join us for a light buffet-style breakfast. The annual business meeting includes brief reports from OFPA on current issues in the food industry. Scholarship recipients and poster competition winners will be announced. 

EXPOSITION 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
Explore over 10 exhibits showcasing innovations in products, equipment and services for food processors. 

EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS  9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Moderated by Andrea Dunigan, Conagra Foods

Presentations by invited speakers are open to all registered attendees.  Exhibitors will give one minute flash talks during the educational sessions to introduce their company products, services or equipment to convention registrants. During the break, registrants can visit the exhibits and Poster Competition participants.

Meet graduate students from the Food Science Department, University of Arkansas participating in the Poster Competition. Poster judging for the competition will be done prior on October 17th by a panel of judges. 

GLOBAL STREET FOOD TRENDS AND MEAL INSPIRATIONS 2:00-3:00 pm 
Chefs will discuss trends in street foods and prepare a tasting of Vietnamese Lemongrass Pork and Vermicelli (Bun Thit Nuong) for attendeess.
